Wally and Molly were both created by passionate animal advocate, Georgie Dolphin, who aptly loves dolphins. When she discovered the truth behind the captive dolphin trade, Georgie felt determined to do something about it. Inspired by her young daughter, she set about creating the story of Wally and Molly to share with children around the world, encouraging them to support an end to captivity and never go to a dolphin show.

Georgie was fortunate enough to grow up surrounded by animals and her love for them led her to study Animal Science at Leeds University in the UK. In 2003 she returned to her country of birth, Australia, settling in Sydney's picturesque Northern Beaches. Georgie has been part of the dedicated team at Humane Society International working to improve the welfare of animals since 2012.

About Me

Margaret Thwaites, Centre Director, Headland Montessori School...
"It is difficult to find suitable stories for young children that promote care for our natural environment and the animals that live in them. It is even more difficult to find stories that address the specific area of ocean care, marine parks and dolphins."

Jeff Hansen, MD Sea Shepherd Australia, Director Sea Shepherd Global...
"With such important messages being relayed through this story accompanied by delightful coloured illustrations appealing to young children, Sea Shepherd Australia fully supports the launch of Dolphin Freedom for Wally and Molly."

John: I haven't been able to bring myself to watch 'The Cove' but listening to this podcast has really opened my eyes. I wish Georgie every success with her book. I hope it stops children from wanting to visit marine parks.

Wilhemina: What a great interview. I had no idea about what happens to dolphins. It's awful. Thanks for spreading the message.

Sue: What an education. Thank you Georgie. Thank you Imogen.
